Jameson Black Barrel is the Irish whiskey that can help brighten up a holiday season, and the brand has a bottle and glasses gift set in time for the shopping season.

Black Barrel is triple-distilled and aged 8-12 years in double charred bourbon barrels. It has a suggested retail price of $47.

In fact, the distiller noted that this expression gets its smooth taste from the charring. In tribute to their barrel makers, Jameson selected double charred barrels to help bring out aromas of butterscotch, fudge and creamy toffee. There are nutty notes alongside spice and vanilla, followed by the richness of toasted wood and vanilla.

Overall, it’s a great base for a great holiday cocktail.

Jameson Black Barrel Apple Cider Punch

Ingredients:

  • 1½ parts Jameson Black Barrel
  • Dash of Angostura Bitters per serving
  • 2 parts apple cider
  • ½ part lemon juice
  • ½ part honey syrup
  • Apple slices
  • Cloves
  • Lemon wheels
  • Star anise

How to mix:

  • Batch all of the ingredients together in a punchbowl or crockpot. Garnish with apple slices, clove-studded lemon wheels and star anise.
