Iconic whiskey maker, Old Elk, recently created a new whiskey experience as Master Distiller Greg Metze tapped their vast inventory of bourbon, rye and other whiskeys for the Old Elk Master’s Blend series.

Think of this like Metze’s autobiography of his long and distinguished career in the whiskey industry.

This whiskey series features four one-of-a-kind blends, one being the Old Elk Wheat N’ Rye which is a blend of their 7-Year Straight Wheat Whiskey (95% Wheat, 5% Malted Barley) and their 6-Year Straight Rye Whiskey (95% Rye, 5% Malted Barley).

Metze explained that the contrasting profiles of these two whiskies create a harmonious, sweet, and spicy final taste profile.

Each release in the Master’s Blend series is a limited edition, each bottled at high proof and presented in a custom bottle. The whiskey clocks in at 54.2% ABV, 108.4 proof.
