There’s a world of whisky out there, and some of the best across the globe is coming out of India.
Piccadily Distilleries first introduced the Indian whisky Indri Diwali, to much acclaim. Now, the distiller just released Indri Dru Single Malt Indian Whisky across the United States.
This expression was crafted by master blender, Surrinder Kumar, and the cask-strength offering clocks in at 57.2% ABV. The blender called it an “homage to ancient Indian mythology, where ‘Dru’ symbolizes the wooden vessel used to offer the divine drink ‘soma’ to the Gods.”
Indri Dru comes from careful selection and blending of handpicked ex-bourbon barrel whisky. The resulting blend features on the nose aromas of mixed fruits, vanilla, gentle spice, and notes of chocolate and honey.
“In crafting Indri Dru Single Malt Indian Whisky, we aimed to create a whisky and a sensory journey,” said Praveen Malviya, CEO of Piccadily Distilleries. “Each sip explores the rich flavors as a testament to our commitment to quality and tradition. Indri-Dru is not only a whisky, but it is also a celebration of the craftsmanship that defines Indian spirits.”
The single malt is now available for a suggested price of $80 for a 750ml bottle, at select retailers across the U.S.
