Every holiday season brings a new angle on Scotch whisky, as well as some much needed humor, from American treasure Nick Offerman and Lagavulin Single Malt Scotch.

They’re at it again with the release of a new holiday video spot where Offerman is back at the whisky’s Islay, Scotland distillery, more determined than ever to make spirits bright for the merry season. All this in the latest installment of the duo’s Lagavulin: My Tales of Whisky series. 

In this latest comedy clip, Nick goes a bit overboard in his holiday decorating zeal, adorning every inch of the Lagavulin distillery in festive decor. This attempt at spreading cheer comes much to the chagrin of the whisky makers, who have to sidestep Nick’s light-hanging and tinsel-tossing as they craft Lagavulin’s 16 Year Old Scotch. 

But, as you can imagine, Nick’s seasonal spirit is contagious, and the whole distillery family eventually gathers round for an epic light show with an electric ending. 

And their message for the season? Stress this time of year can be a drag, but one solution is a dram of Lagavulin, the peaty Islay malt to savor by the fire or with a holiday feast.
