The creators behind TX Blended Whiskey and TX Straight Bourbon just unveiled their latest innovation … TX Whiskey Unaged White Dog. This marks the ninth addition to the esteemed TX Experimental Series. 

This series, renowned for pushing the boundaries of traditional whiskey crafting, introduces aficionados to the bold flavors of TX Experimental Rye and the rich complexity of TX Straight Bourbon Whiskey Finished in Cabernet Barrels.

Crafted with grains sourced from Sawyer Farms and blended with TX Whiskey’s signature wheated bourbon mash bill, TX Whiskey Unaged White Dog offers a glimpse into the early stages of whiskey production. 

This 120-proof offering captures the raw essence of unaged spirits, showcasing a palate of floral notes, summer fruits, and fresh cornbread, complemented by hints of warm spice and sweet cream corn. With its light body and absence of wood sugars and smokiness, this expression stands as an ideal choice for crafting summer cocktails, offering a refreshing alternative to conventional clear spirits.

Evan Brewer, head distiller at TX Whiskey, said the Unaged White Dog features a crystal-clear appearance that allows the natural flavors of Texas corn, wheat, and malt to shine through. He noted that the absence of wood influence accentuates the fruity nuances developed during fermentation and distillation, resulting in a spirit brimming with character and complexity.

To celebrate the launch of TX Whiskey Unaged White Dog, TX Whiskey is inviting enthusiasts to join them at their home, Whiskey Ranch in Fort Worth, on Friday, June 14th. VIP guests will have the exclusive opportunity to “Meet the Maker,” partake in a special tasting and bottle signing, embark on a VIP tour, receive an exclusive gift, and enjoy early access to purchase the newest expression. 

General admission grants access to the festivities starting at 6 p.m., featuring specialty cocktails, live music, food trucks, and complimentary bottle engraving (with purchase). VIP tickets are priced at $50, while general admission tickets are $10, each including event entry and one cocktail. Tickets are available for purchase on the TX Whiskey website.

In total, about 1,400 bottles of TX Whiskey Unaged White Dog will be released, priced at $39.99 per 375ml bottle, exclusively at Whiskey Ranch. Customers are limited to purchasing eight bottles within a 30-day period.
