A gin from the island of Islay? And it’s just what you might think … fantastic, artisanal and everything a great gin should be.

In fact, The Botanist Islay Dry Gin is introducing two new gin spirits, starting today, the first of their kind released in the U.S. since the brand first launched in 2010.

The Botanist Islay Cask Matured Gin Series features two new expressions from the Scottish gin brand that showcase the spirit’s signature 22 wild, hand-foraged Islay botanicals.

The wizards and experts at Bruichladdich Distillery shaped the new Botanist gins through wood and time. Head Distiller Adam Hannett unlocked the brand’s whisky heritage to create the two innovative rested and aged gins that elevate and change the gin category.

Doing so, the new Botanist gins offer notes of toasted oak, wood spice, and candied orange, balanced with juniper berry, and herbal freshness.

These whisky experts noted that they were on a mission to look beyond the boundaries and expectations of gin to create a complex yet balanced dry spirit that represents Islay, the Scottish island where the spirit is crafted.

The Cask Matured Gin Series certainly furthers the distillery’s quest for innovation and experimentation, and creates some of the most interesting spirits in the world.
