Old Forester just released its bourbon of the summer, the latest addition in the 117 Series … Rum Finish.

A statement from Old Forester noted that historically, commercial trade on the Ohio River brought a variety of cask-aged spirits to the wharf behind Old Forester Distillery on Whiskey Row in Louisville, Kentucky. The new expression honors this history.

And for this Rum Finish expression, the distiller finished Old Forester bourbon in barrels that have matured rum for a minimum of four years. The result? Notes of tropical fruit, coconut, and custard to the whiskey.

Rum Finish clocks in at 95 proof and comes in a 375ml bottle. It’s now available at the retail shop at Old Forester Distillery Co. and will be available for shipping (to D.C., KY, NE, NH, ND only) in their online store at shop.oldforester.com in a two-bottle set.
