The makers of Rabbit Hole bourbon figured they’d raise a glass to the “Mother of Bourbon.”
Inspired by one woman’s pioneering spirit and commitment to preserve American whiskey during the Prohibition era, Mary Dowling Whiskey Co. came about thanks to a fantastic whiskey pedigree and offers two new bold expressions, perfect for a great toast.
It was in the male-dominated bourbon industry of the early 1900s where Mary Dowling broke new ground as one of the only female distillers. When Prohibition laws threatened to cripple her business, her resilience and passion kept the flames of bourbon-making alive during the days of the Dry Laws.
And today, her spirit is alive in Mary Dowling Whiskey Co.’s premium bourbons.
The two premium offerings include a Tequila Barrel or Double Oak Barrel expression. Both were shepherded to barrel and bottle by Kentucky Bourbon Hall of Famer and founder Kaveh Zamanian.
