In an exciting development for connoisseurs and collectors alike, Jack Daniel’s has unveiled its latest gem: the Single Barrel Special Release Coy Hill Barrelhouse 8.

Coy Hill Barrelhouse 8 is the latest installment in Jack Daniel’s revered Single Barrel Special Release series, and it doesn’t disappoint. Bottled at an impressive barrel strength, the proofs range from 122 to a remarkable 137.5, ensuring a potent and immersive tasting experience.

What sets this release apart is its maturation process. The whiskey is aged in barrels located at the highest elevations within the distillery’s Coy Hill Barrelhouse 8. Here, the extreme temperature fluctuations create a unique aging environment, contributing to the whiskey’s complex flavor profile.

The spirit starts with Jack Daniel’s signature mash bill, 80% corn, 12% malted barley, and 8% rye. After distillation, it undergoes charcoal mellowing before being placed in new, charred American white oak barrels in September 2013.

Chris Fletcher, Jack Daniel’s Master Distiller, described this release as a milestone, noting, “Our Special Release series has been a platform to highlight our whiskey-making prowess. This year’s Coy Hill release continues to build on the mystique of our barrel houses, offering a whiskey that is a remarkable blend of time, environment, and craftsmanship.”

The Coy Hill Barrelhouse 8 is characterized by Jack Daniel’s quintessential notes of caramel and vanilla, with added layers of candied fruit, toffee, and molasses. The aromatic profile features hints of baking spices, cinnamon, and clove, leading to a rich finish of charred oak and dark brown sugar.

Following in the footsteps of its predecessors, including the 2021 Coy Hill High Proof and the 2022 Small Batch Coy Hill High Proof, this 2024 release is poised to become a sought-after collectible, with its record-setting proofs and distinctive flavor.

For those eager to add this limited-edition whiskey to their collection, it’s now available at select retailers nationwide, priced at a suggested $79.99.
