Just in time for the holiday season, two iconic brands are teaming up to offer a unique indulgence: a limited-edition chocolate bar infused with Woodford Reserve Double Oaked Bourbon.
The bar, which features hints of orange, is an unexpected yet delightful tribute to the classic Old Fashioned cocktail.
This collaboration brings together Jonathan Grahm, the mastermind behind Compartés chocolates, and Woodford Reserve’s Master Distiller Elizabeth McCall. The result is a blend of flavors that aim to elevate the experience of both bourbon and chocolate lovers.
The new bar offers the complexity of Double Oaked Bourbon, with notes of butterscotch, vanilla, and caramel melding with dark chocolate.
“The combination of Double Oaked Bourbon’s sweet profile with the richness of dark chocolate makes for a natural pairing,” McCall said. “It’s a great way to indulge this holiday season.”
Crafted in Beverly Hills, the chocolate bar features packaging that’s as visually striking as the flavors inside. Inspired by the Old Fashioned cocktail, the design highlights the rich orange undertones in the chocolate, creating a sensory experience that goes beyond taste.
Grahm, no stranger to collaborations with premium spirits, is quick to note that the relationship between Woodford Reserve and Compartés was an easy fit. “Their flavors and our chocolates just complement each other perfectly,” he said. “The deep, complex flavors of Double Oaked Bourbon are a perfect match with our chocolate.”
This is the second year that Woodford Reserve and Compartés have partnered on a limited-edition creation. Last year, they released a four-piece chocolate box highlighting the flavors of Double Oaked Bourbon.
The new chocolate bar is priced at $9.95 and is available at select retailers, the Woodford Reserve Distillery, and online through shop.woodfordreserve.com.
For those looking to gift something out of the ordinary this season, or simply treat themselves to something rich and indulgent, this bourbon-infused chocolate bar is a standout. It’s a reminder that the best holiday moments often come in unexpected pairings.
