Glenmorangie just unveiled its latest global campaign, and it’s one that whiskey lovers won’t want to miss. The iconic Harrison Ford is the new face of Glenmorangie’s Highland single malt Scotch whisky in a campaign that breaks away from the traditional whisky advert mold.

The campaign, titled Once Upon a Time in Scotland, features Ford like you’ve never seen him before. Directed by actor and filmmaker Joel Edgerton, the campaign takes viewers behind the scenes at the historic Glenmorangie distillery in the Scottish Highlands, where Ford discovers the artistry and dedication behind each bottle of Glenmorangie whisky.

Ford’s wry sense of humor shines through as he immerses himself in the authentic Scottish experience … learning about Scottish pronunciation, kilt etiquette, and bonding with the local team over a dram of Glenmorangie. The films are deliberately unscripted, with plenty of charm and laughter, making the whole experience feel fresh and fun.

Filmed in the northeast Scottish Highlands, the campaign highlights the stunning landscapes of the region, including the distillery in Tain and Ardross Castle. It’s not just Ford who gets to shine; the real Glenmorangie distillery team also takes part, making their acting debut under the guidance of Ford and Edgerton.

The campaign includes 12 episodic films, a hero film, and still images by fashion photographer Lachlan Bailey. One of the standout moments features Ford sporting a stylish Scottish kilt designed by streetwear brand Palace, adding a touch of flair to the campaign.

Glenmorangie’s President and CEO, Caspar MacRae, shared his excitement, saying, “Harrison Ford is a true global icon and whisky lover. It was a dream to collaborate with him, and we hope whisky fans around the world enjoy seeing our team and our distillery through his eyes.”

Ford himself had a blast on set. “I loved working with the Glenmorangie team. The process was full of unanticipated joys, and the campaign’s charm comes from its unpretentious, fun nature,” he added.

The campaign features six full-length episodes and more content rolling out throughout the year. Fans can catch the first of the episodes online at glenmorangie.com.
