Woodford Reserve continues its tradition of celebrating the Kentucky Derby with its 2025 commemorative bottle, featuring artwork by Cuban-born artist Humberto Lahera.
A dynamic design
This year’s bottle showcases Lahera’s Carrera Dinámica (Dynamic Race), a vivid depiction of the Derby’s fast-paced action. Known for his photorealistic style, Lahera captures the race’s energy through bold colors and fluid motion.
“Humberto’s ability to blend rich colors and movement perfectly captures the excitement and tradition of the Kentucky Derby,” said Woodford Reserve Master Distiller Elizabeth McCall.
About the artist
Originally from Holguín, Cuba, Lahera was one of eight students admitted to the prestigious El Alba Academy of Fine Arts, where he later became a professor. Since moving to Kentucky in 2022, he has gained recognition in the local art scene.
“Being selected as the artist for this year’s Derby bottle is an incredible honor,” Lahera said. “I wanted to capture the motion and elegance of the race.”

Since 1999, Woodford Reserve’s Derby bottle has been a sought-after collectible. The 2025 edition, priced at $49.99, is available globally starting today through ReserveBar and at Woodford Reserve Distillery beginning March 5.
