Fort Worth’s own TX Whiskey is celebrating a landmark moment in its journey with the release of a limited-edition 7-Year Anniversary Batch: Texas Straight Bourbon Whiskey Bottled-In-Bond.

This new release isn’t just another bottle … it’s a snapshot of the distillery’s evolution and a nod to the roots that first put Whiskey Ranch on the map.

Laid down in 2018 and aged for seven years at TX Whiskey’s sprawling 112-acre Whiskey Ranch, the bourbon marks the 12th installment in the brand’s Experimental Series.

But this one stands apart, not just for its age, but for what it represents: the first barrels distilled on TX’s continuous column still. In a state where heat, humidity, and unpredictability are just part of the story, the 7-year-old bourbon captures the effects of time, climate, and craft in each sip.

“This release is a milestone,” said Craig Blair, TX Whiskey’s Head Blender. “It’s the first time we’ve put a Bottled-In-Bond product from our own distillate out into the world at this age. It’s bold, balanced, and deeply reflective of the journey we’ve taken since firing up that still.”

For those who love getting into the sensory details, this batch brings rich aromas of roasted pecans, vanilla, and caramel, backed by subtle notes of red apple and dark cherries. A warm oak spice lingers through the finish, accompanied by a surprising yet welcome hit of cotton candy and brown sugar.

The release is also a quiet nod to the rules of tradition … specifically the Bottled-In-Bond Act of 1897, which requires a whiskey to be aged at least four years, made in a single distilling season, by one distiller, at one distillery, and bottled at 100 proof.

For TX Whiskey, ticking those boxes is as much about honoring heritage as it is about showing how far they’ve come.

Only 1,700 bottles of the 350ml release are being made available, priced at $39.99 each and limited to eight bottles per customer within 30 days. It’s a small batch, but one that speaks volumes.

In a place that’s no stranger to big personalities and bigger ambitions, TX Whiskey’s latest release is a reminder that even in an ever-growing landscape of craft spirits, sometimes the boldest move is simply staying true to your roots.
