Whiskey with a conscience … and character. That’s what Brother’s Bond Bourbon is delivering with its latest limited release: a Regenerative Grain Straight Bourbon, aged seven years and crafted from 100% regenerative grain. It’s the first-ever micro-batch single barrel release from the celebrity-founded whiskey label.
The new bottling isn’t just about the flavor, it’s about the farming. Developed in partnership with North Carolina distiller Pete Barger and hand-selected by the beverage directors at 1 Hotels (Steven Minor and Harrison Deakin), this bourbon is a small but significant step toward more sustainable spirits. Available in select 1 Hotels across the U.S. beginning in June, it’s a sip that invites you to consider the roots of what’s in your glass … literally.
Regenerative agriculture focuses on restoring soil health, improving biodiversity, and minimizing environmental impact. It’s an approach that Brother’s Bond has been supporting since its inception in 2021, including ongoing donations to Kiss the Ground, a nonprofit working to promote regenerative farming practices.
The whiskey itself? A complex, deep amber pour that tells the story of its origin with every drop. On the nose, it opens with caramelized toasted oak and dark cherry, lightly accented by a hint of honeyed grain. The palate brings layers of ripe fruit and warming spice, balanced by charred oak tannins and just enough sweetness to keep things smooth. The finish is long and warming, with a touch of spice and subtle leather. It’s bottled at 95 proof, full-bodied, and made to linger.
You’ll find it in two formats: a full 750ml bottle behind the bar for sipping neat or stirred into custom cocktails, and a 375ml bottle tucked into the in-room minibars … great for guests who want to unwind with something special without leaving their robe.
“This is about more than whiskey,” said co-founder Ian Somerhalder. “It’s about how we treat the land, how we connect with people, and how we build a legacy that goes beyond the bottle.”
Steven Minor of 1 Hotels echoes the sentiment, “This partnership brings together two brands that care deeply about quality and sustainability. We’re proud to offer guests a spirit that’s as rich in values as it is in flavor.”
Whether you’re a whiskey nerd chasing unique grains or just someone who appreciates a good pour with a good story, this Brother’s Bond micro-batch hits the sweet spot … earthy, elegant, and rooted in something bigger.
Cheers to whiskey that gives back, and tastes good doing it.
