Wyoming Whiskey’s latest release takes a meaningful step beyond its home state … both in spirit and purpose. Introducing National Parks: Acadia Edition, the newest addition to the distillery’s National Parks Series and the first to honor a park outside of Wyoming.
Crafted in partnership with Friends of Acadia, this limited-edition bourbon pays tribute to Maine’s rugged coastal beauty and the generations of conservation efforts that made Acadia National Park possible. The release is more than symbolic: Wyoming Whiskey is donating $10,000 to support the nonprofit’s ongoing mission to protect Acadia’s landscapes and cultural legacy.
For Wyoming Whiskey, rooted in the sweeping landscapes of the Bighorn Basin, protecting the land has always gone hand in hand with making good bourbon. The move to spotlight Acadia is both a personal and philosophical one. “It felt right to honor the park, and the people who protect it,” says co-founder David DeFazio, who grew up visiting Acadia with his family. “This one means a lot to me.”
Distilled from non-GMO grains grown in Wyoming and aged for at least five years in new American oak, National Parks: Acadia Edition carries all the hallmarks of the brand’s climate-influenced craftsmanship. Harsh winters, dry summers, and dramatic daily temperature swings contribute to its bold and evolving flavor profile.
Tasting notes open with the aroma of baked honey crullers and cinnamon sugar, followed by almond and cherry liqueur on the palate, with hints of honey and vanilla. The finish offers warming cinnamon spice, espresso, milk chocolate, and a whisper of leather.
Bottled at 98 proof and retailing at $79.99, Acadia Edition is available exclusively at brick-and-mortar retailers in Maine. As always, a portion of the proceeds helps preserve the wild places that inspire the whiskey.
Wyoming Whiskey’s National Parks Series continues this fall with another release … one more way this distillery proves that good bourbon can do good things.
