If you thought Jack Daniel’s had already covered every flavor under the sun, think again. The folks down in Lynchburg have rolled out something new for summer (and beyond): Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Blackberry.

This one’s exactly what it sounds like … classic Jack Tennessee Whiskey kissed with the sweet, tangy notes of ripe blackberries. At 70 proof (that’s 35% ABV), it’s not quite as strong as Old No. 7, but it’s no lightweight either. Think of it as an easygoing sipper that still packs a little kick.

What’s interesting is how they got there. It all starts with the same whiskey you know, distilled from Jack’s traditional mash bill (80% corn, 12% malted barley, 8% rye), mellowed through that signature 10-foot sugar maple charcoal filter, and aged in new, charred American oak barrels. Only after that does the magic happen: the whiskey gets infused with blackberry flavor, creating something that’s bold and sweet without going over the top.

So how does it taste? From early reports (and what Jack hints at), you’re looking at a balance between the vanilla and oak backbone of Tennessee Whiskey and that juicy berry pop. It’s not candy-sweet, but definitely fruit-forward, with enough whiskey character to keep the die-hards happy.

What do you do with it? That’s the fun part. Pour it neat if you like your whiskey with a twist, or throw it over ice for a backyard-friendly pour. It also screams cocktail potential … think blackberry lemonade, a whiskey smash with fresh herbs, or even splashed into iced tea. Basically, if summer had a flavor, this might be it.

Tennessee Blackberry now joins Jack’s other flavored cousins, Honey, Fire, and Apple, but it feels like this one might hit differently. Maybe it’s the berry trend finally making its way to the whiskey world, or maybe it’s just that this flavor sounds tailor-made for long evenings and easy sipping.

Look for it on shelves now across the U.S. in 750 mL bottles, and at $21.99 a pop, it’s an approachable way to mix things up without straying too far from the Jack tradition.
