Some of the best tasting whiskey in America is at it again, celebrating another milestone with a brand-new Anniversary Edition Bourbon.

If you’ve followed Cedar Ridge over the years, you already know the Iowa distillery has built a reputation for producing award-winning whiskey that consistently punches well above its weight. Now, for its 21st anniversary, Cedar Ridge is raising a glass with a limited-edition release that bourbon lovers will want to get their hands on.

The 2026 Cedar Ridge Anniversary Edition Bourbon is the second release in the distillery’s Anniversary Edition series, and Master Blender Murphy Quint has once again created something that showcases just how creative barrel finishing can be.

Starting with Cedar Ridge’s signature Iowa Bourbon … made from a mash bill of 74% corn, 14% rye, and 12% malted barley … Quint finished portions of the whiskey in five different types of casks before blending them together. The final recipe includes Madeira, Napa Cabernet, Pedro Ximenez (PX) Sherry, Tawny Port, and Tokaji barrels, each contributing its own layer of flavor and complexity.

According to Quint, the goal was to build on the success of last year’s incredibly popular release while exploring some new territory.

“This year’s Anniversary Edition features some truly incredible cask-finished bourbons, including a few I’m working with for the first time,” Quint said. “I wanted to keep a similar foundation to last year’s release with sherry and Tokaji finishes, but I chose PX sherry instead of my usual Amontillado. The Madeira and Napa Cabernet casks are what really push this blend in a new direction.”

He added that the 2025 Anniversary Edition became Cedar Ridge’s most successful limited release ever, making this year’s edition one fans have been eagerly awaiting.

One thing that has always set Cedar Ridge apart is its winemaking heritage, and that influence is on full display here. Rather than relying on a single finishing barrel, the distillery layers multiple wine cask finishes together, creating a bourbon that promises rich fruit notes, subtle sweetness, spice, and plenty of depth without losing the character of its Iowa-grown bourbon.

The limited-edition bourbon is bottled at a robust 112 proof and will carry a suggested retail price of $64.99 for a 750 mL bottle. It will be available at the Cedar Ridge Distillery in Swisher, Iowa, through an online pre-sale, and at select retailers while supplies last.

If this Anniversary Edition is anything like its predecessor, don’t expect bottles to stay on shelves for long. Cheers to 21 years, Cedar Ridge.
